This is by far the biggest mall that we have visited in all of Muscat at least by size. Yesterday, we visited the newly opened Avenues Mall in Muscat. The mall is in the same location as the Lulu Hypermarket in Bawshar, just opposite the Muscat Grand Mall.
Let us first share our photos inside the mall
The mall has a very strong potential of attracting lots of visitors and here are the reasons why:
First, it is vey accessible even for those who come by public transport just like us. Commuters can just get off a taxi or van and with just a few steps, they are in the mall.
Second, the parking lot is very spacious. It is not yet that organized but the space provided for parking is so huge.
Third, there is a shop for almost every type of buyer out there. While roaming around, we have seen a lot of shops both open and yet-to-open. Those stores include jewelry shops like Malabar Gold and the like, in an area called the Gold Souq. Electronics stores for different products. One that I would surely visit frequently is the Apple store.
Fourth, dining, entertainment and activity areas. There is a gym, a go kart track and amusement centre to be opened.
Fifth, I believe that this can be considered as a one-stop-shop. Once all the shops here are open, you can spend the whole day inside and be able to do it all: shop, eat, and relax.
